It feels like I went to bed and woke up and Miss A is suddenly a toddler... She just seems so grown up this morning. She has been playing on her own, talking up a storm, making pretend food to share with me and her stuffies and right now, as I am writing this, she asked for her fork and then said thank you (without me having to say..what do you say)( she just threw the fork on the ground again, but oh well...it lasted for a moment) ha! It just amazes me! We grow these little babies in our tummies, we are their only source of food ( for Ash at least 6 months, I nursed until she was 13 months) and then they become little people...God is so amazing.
Okay, so Miss A you ate Salmon for the first time on Saturday and LOVED it! I don't know why but this made me soooo happy! I want to be a salmon eater so bad, and try often, but I just really don't like it. But you loved it!
I think that is it for big news from the weekend....
Pictures from our weekend
Miss A fell asleep on the way to church. I love sleeping babies!
Daddy and Ash after church
Our weekly Luke hug...She adores this boy ( and so do I)
At Vinces after church. Jeremy's family has eaten here after church for the last 30 years...seriously! I love the family atmosphere, and love that we are regulars, but am really not crazy about spaghetti (I know, I know. if you know Vinces you probably think i am crazy) EVERYONE loves it! I have to say that I have been craving it more with this pregnancy and Ashtyn LOVES it. We do change her outfit every week before we eat. This is her Vinces outfit, it is the perfect material to get messy. I honestly think that they think she only has one outfit...ha!
It was a busy Sunday. My baby girl napping so peacefully. Have I mentioned I love pictures of sleeping babies!
And this is our house this morning...ha! It is sooooo messy. I can't even begin to imagine what our house will look like when Graham is here too. Oh well...having fun is way more important than a tidy house...at least I will keep telling myself that :) ( I actually think this is the messiest it has ever been at one time)
Funny story: Jeremy and I were watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse with Miss A and it is the baby Goofy episode. In this episode Petey Pete is burping baby Goofy and does this little song about burping. Right after we had Ashtyn I saw this song and I don't know, in my new mom, delirious state, told Jeremy that this is how you are supposed to burp a baby...are you still following me? He didn't know any better and in his delirious, new dad state went along with my advice.( I am the mom and should just know this stuff, right?) So for about a week we would burp Miss A by saying...top, top, bottom, bottom, middle, middle, middle...ha! I can't remember exactly how he realized I had gotten it form Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, but I do remember him saying what..."this is where you learned this, I thought a nurse at the hospital told you to do this"... we laughed sooooo hard. I had turned to cartoons to teach me how to parent...ha! Yesterday was the first time we had seen this episode since she was born. We looked at each other and just started laughing...Oh the fun of being new parents....I had completely forgot about that, until Petey Pete reminded us. It makes me laugh just typing it...ha!
