Beach Day 3 & 4

1. We saw a whale spout..pretty awesome!
2. Graham crawled up into his stroller on his own and was hanging out inside.. He is such an explorer. He also climbed under the sink and was hanging out in there..ha!
3.  We swam a lot in the hot tub...it's Ashtyn's favorite.
4. We played mini golf, had a dance birthday party on the lawn, ate cookies and played a lot on the pirate ship.
 We are having fun..beach days are almost over....

Beach Day 2 2013

I have decided that blogging without posting pictures is kinda boring...I am not the most compelling writer, so pictures do me wonders..ha! But again no pics today so on with my stories...I think I will just highlight the day:

1. Ashtyn and I laid on the balcony overlooking the ocean in the earlier morning before anyone was awake. I sipped coffee and read the Bible and she ate apple jacks and cuddled with her pink blanket. It was glorious and one of my fav moments yet.
2. Ashtyn ate half a turkey sandwich for lunch. I know this is completely not noteworthy in some books but for us its HUGE! Little Miss is sooo picky and does not like sandwiches and especially not sandwich meat. She saw Graham eating his and declared it hers..hey whatever works! I think she liked it..maybe this is our new trick to getting Ashtyn to eat. Graham eats everything and is A GREAT GREAT GREAT Eater. He literally eat smore than me..ha!
3. We took 3 hour naps! All of us! Ashtyn went into the the room by herself and laid down watching Rapunzel and fell asleep. It was wonderful. Usually I have to lay with her for an hour or so before she falls asleep...maybe this is the start of something new.
4. I watched an episode of Little House on the Prairie....I just started watching this tv show and am obsessed. I love the simplicity of the prairie. I love their wisdom and work ethic...Oh I just love this show! I am on disc 2 of season 1. I would watch it all day long if I could. I have to say the entire family is enjoying my new addiction.
5. We saw dolphins. We have actually seen them all 3 days. So fun!
6. Graham loves the beach. Ashtyn loves the beach!
7. Graham and Tad had matching bathing suits (age 1 yr & 8 yr) SO CUTE!
8. Jeremy, Josh and Papa Tom played tennis.
9. Luke spent the night in our condo. Ashtyn was in heaven!

We are having the best vacation. It is so fun to watch my babies have fun! I am so grateful for this opportunity and for Jeremy's parents who host this every year. We have the best time hanging out with family and the kids love to play togetehr. We are very blessed.

Beach Day 1 2013

Today was our first day at the beach and Graham's first time ever at the beach! We woke up and ate breakfast and just hung out around our condos for the morning. It was so nice to just relax. The babies loved it and loved playing with their cousins. We decided to take early naps and then eat lunch and head down to the beach. We packed our stuff and walked across to meet everyone. Graham loved our walk and Ashtyn was sooo good and listened so well (she even let me put her hair in a pony tail, soooooo cute!) Pictures to come. Ashtyn loves loves loves the beach! The entire walk she was telling me she was going to catch 2 sand crabs....eww! I think she was in the water almost the entire time and when she wasn't in the water she was building in the sand. Like I said earlier this was Graham's first trip to the beach. He loves baths and shallow water, but deep water is not his thing! He wasn't quiet sure about the water. He let it come up along his legs a few times, but then got kinda squirmy. I don't blame him..It was COLD! Again pictures to come! Graham DID LOVE the sand!!! Homeboy is a little sand crab. He literally would lay face first and just bury his head in the sand...ha! Let me say bath time was hard and we still have sand everywhere..ha! Ashtyn was made into a sand mermaid and Graham probably ate an entire sand mermaid...ha! Needless to say, they had a great time. After we walked back, we stopped at a little pirate ship play ground. Both of them loved playing! A few bigger kids came along and tried to take over the ship, but not worry my fiesty but oh so sweet little miss held her own. I have to admit I was kinda proud...she wasn't mean...she just wasn't going to let bigger boys take over. Watch out world. We then bathed in the absolutely most luxurious bath and and then ate dinner together. It was a wonderful day and I look forward to doing it all over again tomorow. The agenda for tomorrow:

Beach Trip 2013

I am writing form the beach today. It is our annual Matlock Family Vacation in Carlsbad. We are very blessed. We have a gorgeous room overlooking the ocean. This morning MIss A and I sat out on the balcony eating our breakfast and watching the waves. It was perfect! This is tech MIss A's 3rd trip and Graham's 2nd. Last year we came and he was only 4 days old (some might say we were crazy, but how could we miss it). I love that my kids get to experience vacations with their cousins. I look forward to a week of relaxation and fun! Miss And Graham are sooooo excited!! It is so fun.

It will be a pictureless week...I tried uploading some pics and it is taking way too long..Next week I will just post pics...It should all even itself out :)
