Homemade gifts and Breakfast in Bed...Oh my!

The Good Life...

I loved my home made gift from Jeremy and Ashtyn this year! It's funny how those little things make me feel so special. I never thought I would prefer a macaroni picture frame (not exactly, but you get the idea) to a necklace or goodie bought at a store of some sort. Don't get me wrong...I will always love an Anthropologie gift card...ha! but this gift literally brought tears to my eyes...I guess I am growing up. Plus homemade gifts save money...Dave Ramsey would be so proud!

Mother's Day 2012

Mother's day this year was so nice. It was low key and quiet...just what I wanted and needed. We spent Saturday with Jeremy's family and Sunday with mine. Jeremy and I then drove to Palm Springs for a quick overnight trip at the Viceroy. One of Jeremy's golfers made it to CIF and the tournament was held in Palm Springs...So I tagged along, hung out at the pool, ate a whole bag of chocolate donuts
(those bags really aren't that big :)) and tool a nice long shower...ha! It's crazy how thankful for the simple things I am. It was a nice little get a way...but I missed Miss A like crazy!!!!! It is nice to back and in the routine of things...laundry, breakfast, lunches, naps....oh the good life!

Miss Ashtyn and I on our technically 3rd mother's day! ( I announced I was pregnant with her on Mother's Day 2010)
