Trunk or Treat

Halloween..Halloween! I just love this holiday. Not all the scary stuff, but the fun costumes and pumpkins and harvest! I love little kids trick or treating and chili and bowls full of candy.

I was so excited for Ashtyn' s first Halloween. She was the cutest little skunk I had ever seen. It can be a bit overwhelming with Halloween costumes..I mean think about it I have about 5 or 6 years where I actually get to pick her costume and then who knows what she will want. There are so many cute ideas out there it is so hard to settle on one. I have always known that I wanted her to be a woodland creature of some sort and then there it was.... the perfect skunk costume. Jeremy will say that I am the only person who searches for and buys a Halloween costume in August..but hey..it is a big deal to me. ha! Anyways...she was the perfect skunk. Halloween was kinda a crazy day. It was on a Monday, so we had to work...blah! Hopefully next year I will not start my Halloween with post with a sentence about having to work...but anyways...we had to work, so we left the school and went to pick up Ashtyn at Grandma' s house. We then went home, put on your costume, and drove to grandparent's house #2. Jeremy's mom really wanted Ashtyn to trick or treat at her door. We met up with the cousins ( Ashtyn's favorites) and took some pictures. From there we drove to church to say hello to our friends who were trunk or treating. I have never really been into trunk or treat, but am starting to like the idea of it for Ash as she gets older. After trick or treating at a few trunks we left to go to my moms to eat dinner ( chili of course) and trick or treat around the neighborhood. Our entire family was there which was a lot of fun. My moms street ending up being very dark, so we decided to drive up to a local neighborhood and trick or treat there. It was perfect. One of my good friends lives up in the colonies and it was such a fun surprise trick or treating at her door. Ashytn was wonderful and LOVED trick or treating! By the end of the night she was babbling away each door and holding her own trick or treat bag. I loved every minute of it!
