We took a trip down to my uncle's fire station on Friday. It was so much fun watching Miss A and Jace...and let's get serious Jer! ha! I honestly think he had more fun then anyone! (and I really mean that exclamation point) Everyone was so nice! The station is pretty old so there was so much history. (I love that kid of stuff and feel so educated) We took a tour, took pictures and Jeremy even slid down the fire pole...yes, see, I think he had the most fun! We had such a blast and I can't wait to go back again. Graham slept almost the entire time until he woke up to take a pretty big poop.... haha! Again thank you sooo much Santa Ana Fire Department and sorry for the smell!

Our family pic..ha! |
After visiting the fire department we headed down to the Great Orange Park.
Okay, this is seriously the neatest place! Has anyone ever been there? I didn't even know it existed until last night, but will def be going back. There was so much for the kids to do and everything is free! (except parking, but it's okay it is worth the parking) There was a carousel that Miss A and Jace loved and rode probably 8 times. (which in my mind justified the parking cost) There was a band playing, a hug grassy area with balls and slides for the kids and the main attraction a huge Hot Air Balloon, that you can actually ride in. I would have been fine with just the band, carousel and grass...but my family insisted we go on the balloon. OH MY GOODNESS! This was the scariest thing I have done in along time! It goes up 400 feet and Oh My that is far up. I was nervous before we even left the ground! It was a crazy experience! Half way up, my oh so brave sister, who insisted that I go on, started to have a panic attack. Being the big sister, I had to help her. Did I mention we took our stroller on and that it blocked the pathway around the balloon? So my family and everyone else was separated by the stroller. I literally jumped over the stroller to comfort Jess and take Jace...Just at the moment they announced we were only half way up! AHHH! We were so high and I felt so helpless. My cousin Kassidy was panicking and yelling to everyone that she was going to throw up the chicken fingers she just ate. Did I mention there was also another couple on the balloon on a romantic (HA) date...How embarrassing! My aunt also started to panic and kept asking when it would be over...haha! Jer was talking to the driver of the balloon and ash was pointing out at everything...
So many thoughts were running through my head:
1. How could I do this to my family and subject my kids to this (although Miss A was loving it, Jer was too and Graham knew no different)
2. I wish Spider man really existed so he could save us when this thing plummets to the ground.
3. Just pray....and so that is what I did. The Entire 8 minutes...
We ended up staying until around 9:30 and had the best time! Thank you Lynne for finding planning this fun day and paying for our parking...We had the beats time!!! Minus the balloon...but I think I speak for you all when I say that.
