Carlsbad Vacation

The first week of August we always go on vacation with Jeremy's family.It is such a fun time hanging out at the beach and just enjoying each others company. I was super excited for the beach this year because it would be Ashtyn's first time. Last year at this time, we had just found out that we were having a little girl! It's crazy how time goes so quickly. Since we are on vacation and I haven't been great about consistently blogging...I am going to just show updates in pictures and highlights. This is really for my mom who keeps asking me to send pics of Ashtyn....So mom, I hope you enjoy.

Highlights:

August1: Ashtyn's first time touching the sand and ocean. Aunt Kelly's first time to Carlsbad.

August 2: Ashtyn really starting to crawl. We were able to see Sean's swearing in at MEPS for the navy.

August3: Seeing a mermaid on the beach..I know I know sounds crazy....

Lowlights:

August1: Ashtyn has a 100 degree fever.

August2: Ashtyn has a horrible cough. Sean left for 9 weeks.

August 3: I stepped on a bee...OUCH!

August4: Ashtyn's first ear infection....OUCH OUCH!

Last year at the beach I was super sick and this year my poor baby is super sick..I don't know what it is with us and the beach! She is still such a sweet girl and having a great time. We were able to go the pool and play in the beautiful room. We took a break from the beach today and walked around down town Carlsbad. It was a lot of fun and relaxing. I can't wait until she is a little older and can play with the big kids in the splash park and mini golf course....so cute!
